Accreditation for Sustainable Wine Growing Practices
The Amadio Vineyard is located North of the Adelaide Hills wine region between the areas of Kersbrook and Williamstown. An area that is considerably warmer and drier than other areas in the region causing the low-vigour fruit to ripen earlier with more tannin and high acidity.
With 327 acres planted, the vineyard supplies an array of grape varieties. In the white: Sauvignon Blanc, Fiano, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Arneis, Moscato, Vermentino and Pecorino. In the red: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Grenache, Sangiovese, Barbera, Dolcetto, Tempranillo, Montepulciano Aglianico, Sagrantino , Nebbiolo and Nero d’Avola. Together, these grapes can create over a million bottles of wine.
